Once more many answered the call to come outside the Ecuadorian Embassy to mark the occasion of Julian Assange’s Birthday with a solidarity vigil.
Juan Carlos gave a lovely short speech that expressed all we had to say:
Today we want to wish Julian Assange a Happy Birthday.
He can be sure that there is a very brave country protecting him and looking after him.
We hope that soon Julian Assange will be able to celebrate many other occasions in FREEDOM with us.
On behalf of the Ecuadorian movement in UK, a community organisation made by the Ecuadorian immigrants I want to express our support for [the] Ecuadorian decision to protect Julian Assange from political persecution.
We are very proud of our government’s commitment to human rights in this case, something that is well regarded all over the world.
Juan finished his speech calling everyone present to join in wishing JA Happy Birthday

Over 50 Happy Birthday Messages that were collected on the 19th of June 2014 Solidarity Vigil were put into a notebook and sent in to the Embassy as a gift.
We shalled cakes and refreshments, sang songs, held posters and wished our remarkable WikiLeaks Editor Freedom at last and the very best wishes for health and happiness.
In Solidarity
